Preparing for Your Visit

Expectations of Clients In-Residence

In-Residence – Personal Property

Due to space considerations, clients in-residence are limited to what they are allowed to bring into treatment. Each treatment program has developed specific outlines for allowable clothing and personal items. Below is a general outline of allowed clothing:

  • 10 outfits
  • 7 undergarments
  • 3 pairs of shoes (1 pair sneaker, 1 pair dress shoes, 1 pair house shoes)
  • 2 sets of sleepwear (pajamas)
  • 1 each of any of the following items: jacket/coat, robe, purse, belt, boots (if winter)
  • Hygiene and tobacco products

During the Intake process, outfits, undergarments and sleepwear will be sent to the laundry prior to being brought to the unit. This will reduce the possibility of unwanted elements entering the residential units.

Clients who arrive at Haymarket Center from a confined environment (e.g., jail, hospital facility) will have three days to have items (as stated above) brought to Haymarket Center.
